I was wondering if there were options for Wordpress to IPB integration if we are on a hosted board?

Thanks.

IP.board and WordPress need to be on the same Host-Account or same Server (they need local access to each other). There need to be files uploaded on your ftp to both installations of WordPress and IP.board. Feel free to try out the free demo

We have a dedicated server for our Wordpress install but use the hosted IPB solution. So they aren't. Would you be willing do do something custom, if we paid? We aren't looking for a full integration, we ideally want something like this:

I am looking for an Invision Power Board to Wordpress Integration, I don't think that we need a full bridge. I know there are some options out there, each one that I looked at requires that IPB and Wordpress to be installed on the same server. We are on hosted IPB, so that is a problem for us.

Here is what we are looking for:

1. When you make a Wordpress Post, a new thread is created automatically in a designated forum with the contents of that post.
2. The bottom of the post in Wordpress would need to display the last x posts from the thread in the forum thread. Something like how ESPN does it: http://espn.go.com/b...d-tom-brady-sat

They show the last post and then the total # of posts. Ideally this would show the last 3 posts and the total # of posts.

3. When you view it in Wordpress if you aren't logged in to IPB, it should assume you are a guest and use the guest permissions.
4. When you click the total # of posts it could just bring you to the actual thread in IPB.
5. There would need to be login or register links but they would be the existing IPB options.

We do not want any user information added to Wordpress, that is why I say I don't think this is a Bridge. Just looking for a way to display forum posts at the bottom of our wordpress posts.

We are willing to pay for this so if you think you can develop it (hopefully it is possible) we should talk.

Thanks!

Hi,

okay that is generally no "impossible" request, but it's always a question of effort.

Most important is, that there is access to the MySQL Database of your hosted IP.board from your dedicated server - could you clear out wether that is possible? This is obligatory.
Secondary, it would be nice to have FTP access to your hosted IP.board.

If yes, we can do that trick on a really custom way - and for 360 EUR setup fee + 129 EUR license costs (+19% VAT if you live in EU and have no VAT-ID). If there is no FTP access to your hosted IP.board, the setup fee will increase to 440 EUR.

PS: Please note that automatic SSO is not possible if domains of wordpress installation and board are differend (second-level and top-level). Accounts are still synced, but the user needs to login on each domain manually. Subdomains of the same secondlevel domain are no problem for automatic login.

Thank you for the response, just saw this now.

http://community.inv...ss-integration/ -- he is going to modify the existing mod for us. If we have any issues or that doesn't work, I will be in touch. Thanks again!
