I am getting the error message "Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error."

I made sure this went up as binary files. What else can I check?

FYI, your instructions were very difficult to understand:
  • upload contents of this to your root WordPress directory
  • Attention: Contents of \UPLOAD\wordpress\wp-content\themes\default\ should be uploaded to your active theme in WordPress.
So I put the theme folder contents into my active theme, but everything else goes into the wordpress root directory? Really?

The only way I can get the ipbwi wordpress plugin to show up in my wordpress install is if I put it in the "plugins" folder.

Still, even with it showing up when I try to install the plugin, It gives me the above fatal error.

Help would be appreciated. I fully intend to buy this, but am losing hope quickly.

Hi Konnichiwawa,

thanks for contacting me. Concerning the installation instructions, I'll try to optimize them to make them easier to understand. big thx for your feedback!

Concerning the fatal error: Please send me you FTP, PHPmyAdmin, Board-Admin-Login (+ URL) and WordPress-Admin-Login (+ URL) and I'll install the demo for free on your server. Please send me these data via PM in Forum or via email to contact@ipbwi.com - I'll check what's the reason for the fatal error and will fix it.

Kind regards,
Matthias

Matthias,

Thanks for the quick reply and offer to investigate. I will try a few things first (disabling plugins, reuploading...) If I don't find a solution, I'll make a login for you.

If you figure out what's wrong in the meantime by helping others who may be having the same problem, please update this post.

Thanks!
K

Matthias, I have the same problem: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
File was uploaded correctly, I even checked it's md5 checksum. I checked that ioncube loader was working OK.
I thought that there might be conflict with other plugins, but it doesn't work even on clean WP installation.

Please, help me, I'm sending you logins that you asked.
