Hi Matthias, any news for a Joomla 1.5/1.7 integration with IPB via IPBWI ?

IPB is a great forum platform, Joomla is one of the best CMS out there, there are a lot of people that would benefit from your integration and a lot of them will buy it. That's for sure ...

A lot of users were jumping around on IPS forum to integrate Joomla via IPconverge but IPC joomla module was not reliable and almost not working at all.

Jfusion - another way to integrate Joomla with other platforms but the developers (as far as i can tell) dropped the idea of creating a plugin for IPB integration (although they integrated joomla with vbulletin, phpbb, mybb, smf .. and so on).

Joomla Community would praise your work developing a robust Joomla integration with IPB.

Of course, nothing is free and work hours means money but i can tell you right now that this will sell like crazy to Joomla Community.
There is NO reliable and robust integration available for Joomla, period.

Unfortunately i can't afford to pay the whole development by myself

If some others are looking for a Joomla integration maybe we can setup a group buy in order to pay Matthias to develop this.
Joomla really needs a robust and reliable integration with IPB.

Come on guys, please, i am begging  ... let's integrate this two beautifull platforms.

Hi lifestyle,

thanks for your suggestion. :) I've worked with joomla (combined with virtuemart) and I hated it ;) But it' was an older joomla version (1.5.x) of a customer, so maybe the current one (1.7.x) is quite better.

There is an effort about 2.000 EUR for developing a Single Sign On Plugin for Joomla. I'm able to provide 50/50 sharing of the blank development costs, so we are about 1.000 EUR needed, e.g. 100 EUR prepaid from 10 customers and I'll be able to develop such a plugin within 2 weeks.

Of course, holding the plugin up2date will result in additional development costs, but for these 10 first prepaid buyers, all updates will be for free lifetime.

If we get these 10 people who are willing to pay each 100 EUR, I can start rapidly.

Kind regards,
Matthias
